Genesis: 1:26 & 27.
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Man was made last as a creature different from all of the other creatures: this was both an honor and a favor to him. Flesh and spirit, heaven and earth, must be put together in him. Man, was made to glorify the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is the soul of man that especially bears God's image. Man was made upright, (Eccl 7:29). His understanding saw Divine things clearly and truly; there were no errors or mistakes in his knowledge; his will consented at once, and in all things, to the will of God.
Genesis 2. 7
And the Lord God made man from the dust of the earth, breathing into him the breath of life: and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2.8
And the Lord God made a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had made.
Genesis 2.9
And out of the earth the Lord made every tree to come, delighting the eye and good for food; and in the middle of the garden, the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2.16
And the Lord God gave the man orders, saying, You may freely take of the fruit of every tree of the garden:
Genesis 2.17
But of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you may not take; for on the day when you eat of it, you will certainly die.
Genesis 2.18
And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."
Genesis 2.21
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
Genesis 2.22
Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
Genesis 2.23
And Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man."
Genesis 2.24
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Genesis 2.25
The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
Genesis 1.28
God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.
